The essential fennel seed oil has a sweet, anise-like aroma. The Sweet Fennel plant grows in Southern and Central Europe. Fennel was already renowned for its properties in ancient times. The Romans used it to relieve indigestion, and to promote the flow of breast milk. TCM values Fennel for its blockage releasing and warming effects on tensions. The oil is an ideal female companion Emotionally, Fennel provides strength and a secure feeling when lacking confidence. This is why ancient Roman warriors relied on Fennel before battle.
